Daioni Organic are delighted to be supplying over 7000 homes across Wales with their Daioni Organic UHT milk as part of the Welsh Government Food Box Scheme. The boxes are being provided to vulnerable people who are currently shielding from the coronavirus.
Welsh councils have been working with local food suppliers to put essential food items together for their residents. Daioni Organic have worked with Calon Wen to produce their UHT milk for the scheme and proudly sit amongst other Welsh producers such as Tregoes Waffles.
There was a call for local, Welsh producers to be involved in the scheme which saw Daioni Organic UHT Milk being introduced to the boxes. Many Welsh food businesses have been severely affected by the COVID-19 crisis but have been helped by shoppers turning to local food suppliers when supermarket shelves have been bare. Sales of Daioni Organic’s flavoured milk drinks almost halted during the lockdown as food service providers have been forced to close but they also saw an increase in their local doorstep deliveries.
