The Benefits of Eating Organic ūüĆĪ

The way our food is raised and grown can have a major impact on our health, as well as the environment. Evidence suggests that Organic food is safer, more nutritious and most importantly it tastes better! So why should you choose organic?

Organic food is often fresher and richer in certain nutrients, including Omega-3 and 6, Calcium, Iron and Polyunsaturated fats (the good fats).

Organically raised animals are given more space to move around outdoors which helps to keep them healthy.

Organic food is non-GMO and free of hormones and routine antibiotics.

Here is a simple Strawberry and Oat Breakfast Muffin recipe for you to try at home that  incorporates our delicious Organic strawberry milkshake. Great as an easy in the go breakfast before work, or as a mid day snack when you need that extra pick me up!

Dry Ingredients:
  • 100g plain flour
  • 100g of jumbo oats/ porridge oats
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 65g light brown sugar
  • 100g chopped strawberries
Wet Ingredients:
  • 100ml Daioni strawberry milkshake
  • 50g plain greek yogurt
  • 1 egg
Method:

Pre-heat the oven to 180 degrees. Line a muffin tin with 6 muffin cases. In a large mixing bowl, combine all the dry ingredients and leave aside. In a small mixing bowl, add all of your wet ingredients and whisk well until everything is combined. Add the wet ingredients to your dry and mix in the chopped strawberries. Transfer the mixture evenly between each muffin case. Place the muffins in the oven for 18-22 minutes. Leave to cool for 10 minutes before serving.
