Why Organic?

The benefits of organic milk are extensive. The nutrient density of organic milk is far higher than conventional milk, while at the same time it is free from chemical contamination.

Just some of the benefits of organic milk include:

  • Higher in antioxidants
  • Higher in vitamins, especially vitamin A, C and E
  • Higher in minerals, including calcium, magnesium, iron and chromium
  • Higher in Omega 3
  • No pesticides or synthetic fertilisers
  • No synthetic growth or breeding hormones
  • No antibiotics
  • No food additives
  • No GMOs
  • Results in less pollution and produces less dangerous waste

Organic food meets some of the highest standards of food safety. In the United Kingdom, the Soil Association monitors all organic farms and food companies and inspects them at least once a year. Daioni has consistently exceeded these requirements and those standards laid down by European Union law. In addition, Daioni has been certified by the Chinese organic certifying body – the China Quality Certification Centre (CQC).

The organic approach also results in better care for animals. This is widely acknowledged by animal welfare organisations such as Compassion in World Farming, as well as the United Kingdom government. Animal welfare is taken very seriously by organic standards and this is at the crux of Daioni’s farming philosophy.

In addition to all the health benefits of organic food, one of the most defining characteristics is that it simply tastes better. Cows at Daioni Organic graze on organic pastures that are free of chemicals and results in a natural sweetness in the milk. Daioni Organic dairy products are therefore rich in both taste and nutritional value.
